Vmo Aircraft Leasing Appoints Deirdre Ní Chearbhaill as General Counsel

DUBLIN – September 12, 2023 – Vmo Aircraft Leasing (“Vmo”), a San Francisco-based aircraft leasing company, announced today that in May 2023 Deirdre Ní Chearbhaill was appointed as General Counsel. Ní Chearbhaill is based in the lessor's Dublin, Ireland, office and serves on its leadership team.

The position draws on Ní Chearbhaill’s nearly two-decades experience of working alongside various stakeholders in the aircraft leasing industry in negotiating and executing complex aircraft transactions, as well as leading and growing a cross-border team.

Ní Chearbhaill is a qualified solicitor in Ireland, who started her aviation career with McCann FitzGerald.  Most recently she was a Co-Head of Transaction Legal at Avolon, with responsibility for the execution and delivery of the company’s trading and financing transactions.  

“I’m excited to help manage Vmo’s high transaction volume as well as to act as a strategic legal advisor to this young and ambitious company planning its future,” said Ní Chearbhaill. 

Ní Chearbhaill holds a Master’s in Telecommunications and Space Activities Law from the University of Paris-Saclay, France, and a Master’s in European and International Law from the University of Bremen, Germany. She has a Bachelor’s in Law and German from Trinity College, Dublin.
